The View in The Royal College of Surgeons of England
The View was fully reimagined and modernised for events in 2021, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and ergonomic design. Set within the historic Royal College of Surgeons of England – established by Royal Charter in 1800 – the venue blends heritage with contemporary flair, offering a refined setting for conferences, meetings, and celebrations.
Famed for its world-leading research and scientific endeavours, The View serves as the headquarters of both The Royal College of Surgeons of England and The Faculty of Dental Surgery. Guests arrive through a classical portico and are welcomed into a light-filled lobby adorned with portraits of pioneering surgeons. The sixth-floor event space opens onto a large terrace overlooking Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London’s largest public square, with views stretching to the London Eye and The Shard.
Inside, the venue features a flexible conference suite with built-in AV, breakout rooms, and access to the Lumley Library – a beautifully restored first-floor space housing one of Europe’s finest collections of medical literature.
