The Brief

A new client approached us seeking a dynamic all-day event venue that could seamlessly transition between different atmospheres within the same location.

They required a space for a drinks reception, followed by an extended-service seated dinner that allowed for multiple entertainment acts between courses, and finally a bar/club setting for guests to dance the night away.

After thorough proposals and site visits, we confirmed The BoTree as the perfect venue – specifically LAVO for the seated dining and The BoTree Bar for the evening party. The client also desired a tailored entertainment plan to elevate the entire experience.

Delivery

The day began with a sophisticated drinks reception in an elegant setting, featuring a guitarist/singer performing live alongside canapés and an extensive cocktail menu, creating a festive ambiance. A Gatsby-themed photo booth became a highlight, delighting guests throughout the event.

Guests then moved through for a seated three-course meal; a spectacular tailor-made Italian sharing menu featuring mouthwatering signature dishes and showstopping desserts such as the striking 17-tiered cake (yes 17!). Guests enjoyed live music between courses from a guitarist, a singer, and a saxophonist – who fully energised the room, even inspiring some guests to get the dancing started early!

As the night progressed, the party shifted to The BoTree Bar, where a lively DJ set accompanied by a saxophone performance kept energy high.

Results

The event was a fantastic success, establishing a strong relationship with a new client who now engages us annually.

The seamless transitions between event phases, combined with tailored entertainment and outstanding catering, generated rave reviews.

The client praised our professionalism and meticulous organisation, emphasising how they could fully enjoy the evening knowing every detail was in hand with Ex Events.
