The Brief
Our client approached us for full event management to deliver their annual summer offsite – a one-day event bringing together teams from their London and Brussels offices to celebrate recent successes and foster connection.
The brief called for a venue with country house charm, less than an hour from London, offering ample outdoor space, BBQ-style catering, and team-building activities that would reflect a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. Privacy, natural light, and a weather-proof back-up plan were also non-negotiable.

We curated a targeted list of venues, handled all shortlisting and site visits, and helped the client select the stunning Great Fosters by Alexander Hotels.
We worked closely with a team-building supplier to design a tailored programme, and sourced additional furniture – including giant deck chairs and beanbags – to enhance the relaxed summer vibe. Coach transport was arranged from the client’s offices to simplify logistics and reduce costs for attendees.
Delivery
On the day of the event, we had a tight plan in place – including early deliveries, full setup coordination, and continuous communication with both venue and client teams.

Despite a sunny forecast in the lead-up, the day began with heavy rain, requiring an immediate pivot to our wet-weather plan. Our team worked quickly to move the live BBQ indoors to the Conservatory and relocated oversized lawn games like giant chess and Connect 4 into The Orangery.
Rain eventually gave way to sun and scattered showers, but by then, guests were well into enjoying Human Table Football, Archery, and Croquet, all of which remained hugely popular throughout the day. Despite the changing weather, the event unfolded seamlessly, and guests flowed easily between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Results
The event delivered exactly what the client had hoped for – and more. The venue was a hit, and guests raved about the setting, atmosphere, and balance of fun and relaxation. The Human Table Football was a standout, drawing crowds and lots of laughter throughout the afternoon.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with the client praising the smooth coordination, our adaptability on the day, and the thoughtful touches that ensured the event maintained its spirit – rain or shine.
The success of the event further strengthened our relationship with the client team and resulted in wider introductions across the business and an increased role in sourcing, supporting and delivering events across the group.
